The Citywide Oversight Committee (COC) is a quarterly meeting where New York City and New York State child-serving agencies, Borough Based Council co-chairs, family members and youth representatives come together to find solutions to cross-system issues that have not been resolved at a borough level, assure that family and youth concerns are represented in efforts to improve the system of care in NYC, and to share resources and information about child-serving systems throughout NYC.

The COC is co-chaired by representatives from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the New York State Office of Mental Health, two family representatives, a youth advocate from YouthPower!, and a representative from a city or state agency to create a cross-systems approach to ensure the mental, emotional, and social well-being of NYC’s children and families.
