Brooklyn Co-Chair

 

Evelyn Pugh currently serves as the Family Co-Chair for the Brooklyn Borough Base Council. She attends monthly meetings with youth, families, community and service providers sharing information and resources to help support families facing their emotional well-being and mental health issues. She spearheads many of their monthly programs via zoom. Evelyn also serves as Chairperson for the Neighborhood Advisory Board which provides residents of low-income communities with an opportunity to help DYCD identify funding priorities and to recommend specific programs. She is also a New York State Rehabilitation Council member of the membership committee. She represents parent training and information Centers. The SRC Council provides support of Adult Career and Continuing Education services-Vocational (ACCESS-VR) on behalf of people with disabilities to employment. She is a longtime member of the Dept. of Education Community Education Council District 19 ,Brooklyn Borough President Appointee& Treasure member. Evelyn serves as liaisons for School Leadership Teams and collaborate with her D19 Superintendent to raise D19 schools. District 19 All The Way Up and Beyond!
